faux bois

Faux Bois was invented in France over 100 years ago. The word Faux Bois means false wood. It is an art form that is created by applying layers of concrete onto a welded steel frame and then sculpting the wet cement by hand to resemble wood. Stone Effects can create this art form into benches, hand railings, planters and even into a garden sculpture.

The African Warrior sculpture was created by James Hall. We collaborated on this project by sculpting on site at the African Queen property in Springfield Missouri.
